Veils By Lily: Customized Veil Ordering Process & Procedure
This process ensures a seamless journey from your initial vision to the hand-crafting of your custom
liturgical, bridal or communion veil.



Step 1: Online Request and Initial Inquiry


The journey begins on the Veils by Lily website, where you provide the foundationional details of your
request.
1. Fill out the custom order form: Visit the Custom Veil Order Page and complete the online
form. You will be asked to provide:
a. Desired Veil Shape: Infinity, Triangle, Half Circle, Circle, Rectangle, or “Other”
b. Preferred Trim
c. Preferred material
d. Any modifications to existing styles
2. Upload Inspiration: Once you are connected to a Customer Experience Specialist (CES),
send any inspiration or sketches of your desired design to help our team understand your
aesthetic.
3. Submission and Review: A VBL CES will review your form to ensure the requested
materials are available and the design is technically feasible.



Step 2: Consultation Meeting


Once your request is reviewed, you will be invited to a personalized meeting (online or in person) to
finalize the details.
1. Schedule the meeting: You will receive a link to schedule a 15-30 minute meeting in person
or online with a CES.
2. Design Deep-Dive: During the meeting, the specialist will:
a. Review your form and inspiration photos
b. Discuss fbric “hand” (drape and weight) color matching.
c. Confirm exact measurements and attachment options (e.g.: sewn-in clips or combs)
d. Order a swatch if undecided on color ($1)
3. The “Lily” Touch: Our specialist will offer suggestions on which trims best complement your
face shape or specific dress details or fabric you have chosen



Step 3: Formal Quote and Approval


Following the meeting, your vision is translated into a formal agreement.
1. Receive the proposal: You will receive a detailed design summary and formal price quote via
email.
2. Order Confirmation: To move into production, you must digitally agree to the design approval
and pay a non-refundable deposit (Typically 50%)
3. Estimated Timeline: Your specialist will provide a “Ready to Ship” date based on current
artisan availability.



Step 4: Hand-Crafted Production

Our artisans in Missouri begin the meticulous process of bringing your veil to life.

  1. Precision Cutting and Sewing: Your veil is hand-cut and sewn according to the specific
    dimension agreed upon during your meeting
  2.  Quality Control Inspection: Each custom piece undergoes a multi-point inspection to ensure
    lace symmetry, edge integrity, and clip security, etc.
  3. Final Payment: Once the veil passes inspection, you will receive an invoice for the remaining
    balance.


Step 5: Secure Delivery


Your custom creation is prepared for its journey to you.
1. Specialized Packaging: Your veil is carefully folded in acid-free tissue paper and placed in
protective packaging to prevent snagging, etc.

2. Tracked Shipping: Your order is shipped via an insured carrier with tracking provided
immediately.
3. Arrival and Care: Upon delivery, do not open packages with a sharp object! We provide
specific instruction on how to steam and store your custom veil to ensure it lasts for years of
prayer and celebration.
