Dear Friends,
We are overjoyed to announce the winner of the Veils by Lily International Scholarship. The scholarship committee reviewed over 60 applications. We were truly edified by the number of young Catholics who are living inspiring lives of virtue in service to our Lord and to their communities.
Rebecca Heffron’s dedication to service began in her own home, where she has sacrificed her time and energy to carrying out Our Lord’s commandment to care for the sick. Whether ministering directly to family members with special health needs or caring for her siblings when her parents need her help, Rebecca’s love for the Lord shines brightly. Rebecca carries this spirit of servitude out into her parish community and is truly a light of God to all she encounters.
In her scholarship application, Rebecca wrote, “I am learning to see Jesus in the faces of those around me and to appreciate the blessings God has given me. Most importantly, I have come to depend on Jesus more fully in Adoration and in the Sacraments, and am learning to listen to His voice.”
We’re delighted to award Rebecca Heffron with the first annual Veils by Lily International Scholarship, and are confident that she’ll represent the values of Veils by Lily with love and grace throughout her college journey.
